A Fault Diagnosis Analysis of Afterburner Failure of Aeroengine Based on Fault Tree

The afterburner is essential for military aeroengines, providing rapid thrust increase during critical maneuvers. However, complex failure mechanisms pose challenges fault diagnosis and troubleshooting. This study investigates a specific aviation engine’s engagement principle typical faults, using tree analysis computational fluid dynamics (CFD). We propose hybrid diagnostic architecture combining traditional observer with trees online of faults. Simulations test bench verification confirm the feasibility effectiveness our approach, offering valuable insights guidance addressing issues in engines.
